MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats looked to get back on track with two key conference volleyball matches this weekend in Crisp Arena. After falling to Freed-Hardeman in a five set match Tuesday night Bethel had dropped three straight and five of their last six.
Bethel took the first step in turning things around with a 3-1 victory over Middle Georgia State Friday night in Crisp Arena. The Lady Wildcats prevailed 25-12, 25-22, 17-25, 25-19.
Brianca Mayfield led Bethel's attack with 16 kills. Jessyca Watson followed with 12 kills. Brooke Burress had 13 assists while Katelyn Van Hooser led the assist category with 24 on the night. Giulia Zilotti had 18 digs. Daisy Liljenquist contributed with 13 digs.
The Lady Wildcats moved to 9-12 overall and 5 -3 in SSAC play. MGS fell to 7-9 overall a 3-5 in the league.
