Volley Cats Beat Fisk in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Off to their best start in six years, the Bethel Lady Wildcats traveled to Nashville to face the Fisk Bulldogs Tuesday night. Bethel improved to 8-1 with a 3-0 victory over the home squad. The Cats lead the all-time series 3-0.

Fisk dropped to 1-4 on the year.

Bethel won 25-12, 25-23 and 25-20.

Dominika Skoneczna had 14 digs. Hannah McGowan had 11 kills. Nayeli Vilchez had a match high 23 assists. Sami Parker contributed with 11 digs.

Coach Starla Cupples was happy with her team's effort and composure. "I'm always happy to get a win. Our ladies came out strong controlling set one. The next two were battles but the girls stay composed and closed out in three sets."

Bethel plays their home opener Tuesday playing host to rival Freed-Hardeman at 7 p.m.
