Lady Wildcats Drop Doubleheader to LWC

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats saw their bats go cold Friday losing both games of their twin bill to No. 2 Lindsey Wilson. The Blue Raiders won 2-0 and 3-1.

In game one Lyric Houston and Lexi Isable hit solo home runs for LWC's runs. Annabelle Ramirez fired a three-hitter to grab the Blue Raider victory. Maddie Cochran was the complete game hard luck loser for Bethel.

Game two was scoreless until a two-run homer by LWC's Makea-Al Kaluan gave the Raiders a 2-0 lead in the top of the 6th. Lindsey added another run in the 7th. Bethel's lone run came on a Jade Brallier sacrifice fly in the 7th. Billie Douglas pitched well enough to win but suffered the loss. Hannah Epperson was the winner for Lindsey Wilson.

Bethel dropped to 20-12 overall and 14-12 in the MSC. Lindsey improved to 35-3 and 27-3.

The teams will play a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. It will be Senior Day with Billie Douglas, Maddie Cochran. Lexee Miller, Darcie Gibson and Macey Cox being honored between games.

The series marks the last home stand of the season for Bethel.
