Men’s Soccer Suffers First Loss of the Year
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The No. 18 Bethel Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season falling 3-1 to No. 5 Lindsey Wilson in Columbia Tuesday night.
Horace Avila Jr. gave Bethel a 1-nil lead at the 28:33 mark of the first period but the Blue Raiders scored two goals in the next six minutes to grab a 2-1 margin.
The Raiders led 2-1 at the break.
The second period was a nailbiter until LWC put the game away with a goal with less than two minutes left.
Lindsey Wilson had a 21-13 advantage in shots and 9-4 margin in shots on goal.
Diego Camargo had six saves for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats dropped to 8-1-2 overall ad 3-1-1 in the league. LWC improved to 10-2-1 and 3-2.
The Wildcats will be back in action Saturday night hosting the University of the Cumberlands at 7:30 p.m. It will be Senior Night for the Wildcats.
