Cats End in Deadlock with WBU
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 19 Bethel University Wildcats scored two second period goals and managed a 2-2 tie in their game with visiting Williams Baptist Friday night in McKenzie.
The Cats finished the night at 5-1-3 while WBU went home at 3-1-4.
Bethel 13-4 margin in shots and a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.
The game was quite chippy at times with the teams combining for nine yellow cards.
The Eagles led 1-0 at the break. The Wildcats evened the game with a goal from Alvin Oguta. After WBU took a 2-1 lead, Bethel's Prince Badu tied the game with a goal at the 82:14 mark.
The Cats are back in action Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. hosting the Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson. It will be the ninth meeting between the two programs with LWC holding a 5-2-1 advantage in the series. The Blue Raiders have beaten the Wildcats three straight times.
