Soccer Cats Tame Bears in Conference Opener
MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The No. 23 Bethel Wildcats had no problem with the visiting Pikeville Bears Thursday night in Wildcat Stadium. The Wildcats scored four first period goals and added two more in the second period to win 6-0.
Nathan Hunter, Sergio Baguena, Isaac Stanley and Adrian Musubi had goals in the first. Nicolas Ruiz had two assists while Nathan Hunter and Gregory Cousins also had assists in the period.
Musubi and Ruiz added the two goals in the second period. Milos Stajkovic and Mountaga had assists.
Bethel had 22-0 advantage in shots on goal.
Bethel moved to 5-0-2 and 1-0 in the league. The Bears fell to 4-4 and 0-1. The Cats lead the all-time series 3-0.
The Wildcats remain at home for a Saturday match versus No. 15 Cumberlands with action beginning at 7:30 p.m.
