Wildcats Host Generals on Labor Day

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats play their home opener on Labor Day as they host the LSU-Alexandria Generals at 1 p.m.

 The Bethel defense allowed only two shots on goal in the Wildcats' 7-0 shutout of the Brescia Bearcats on Thursday in Owensboro. Bethel improved to 2-0-1 with the win.

Junior Nathan Hunter and sophomore Sergio Baguena scored two goals each for Bethel. Isaac Stanley, Gregory Cousins and Adrian Musubi added one goal each. The goals by Hunter and Cousins were the first of their Bethel careers. Musubi (two) and Nicolas Ruiz recorded assists for the Wildcats.

The Generals are 0-1-1 on the young season.

It will be the fifth meeting between the two with Bethel holding a 3-1 advantage in the series.
