Wildcats Fall on the Road with Conference Setback at Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Bethel Wildcats saw their two-game conference winning streak come to an end Saturday afternoon, suffering a tough 100–58 road loss to Lindsey Wilson at Biggers Sports Center.

Bethel (16-4, (2-2) struggled to find an offensive rhythm from the opening tip, shooting just 31.7 percent from the floor for the game and 2-of-17 from three-point range. Lindsey Wilson capitalized early, building a 37–25 halftime advantage before breaking the game open with a dominant second half.

The Wildcats were led by Ethan Turner, who finished with 14 points and five rebounds, while Chauncey Hughes III added 13 points despite facing heavy defensive pressure throughout the afternoon. David Starr chipped in 11 points and six rebounds off the bench, getting to the free-throw line seven times.

Lindsey Wilson (12-5, 2-1) caught fire after the break, shooting nearly 69 percent in the second half and knocking down timely shots from beyond the arc. The Blue Raiders also forced 21 Bethel turnovers, turning those miscues into 31 points and stretching the margin out of reach.

Despite the final score, head coach Jeff Britt emphasized accountability and growth following the conference loss.

"We didn't match their intensity or execution, especially in the second half," Britt said. "Conference games on the road demand toughness and discipline, and today we fell short. We will learn from this and move forward."

Lindsey Wilson finished with five players in double figures and controlled the glass, outrebounding Bethel 45–34 while scoring 40 points in the paint.

The Wildcats will look to regroup quickly as conference play continues, aiming to respond with greater focus and energy in their next Mid-South matchup. As they return home, Thursday to face the #2 ranked Freed-Hardman Lions with the tip slated for 7:30 PM.
