Bat Cats Host Patriots
MCKENZIE, Tenn. -After not playing for over a week, the Bethel Wildcats return to the diamond at home this weekend hosting the University of the Cumberlands in a three-game series. The teams play a nine-inning single game Saturday at 4 p.m. The squads meet again Sunday with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
The Wildcats take an overall mark of 7-8 and a MSC record of 5-3 into the series. Bethel is 3-6 at home on the year.
The Patriots are 16-9 and 4-5. They have a 6-4 road record this year.
The Wildcats have a team batting average of .282. Two players are hitting over .400 on the season. Jose Olmeda leads the Cats hitting .479. His twenty runs scored is a team high. He has driven in ten runs and has a team high six stolen bases. Olmeda and Kendrick Osborne lead the Cats with eighteen hits each. J.T. Morgan is the other player hitting (.404). Jacob Foster leads the Wildcats with three home runs and 17 RBI's. Logan Beecham has hit two homers and driven in eleven runs. Marco Santa has won four games on the season and sports a 1.54 ERA.
