CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Bethel's women's soccer team fell 6-0 to Campbellsville in Mid-South Conference action Thursday at Finley Stadium.
Campbellsville took a 2-0 lead into halftime after Oddny Helgadottir scored in the 23rd minute and Amelie Matheis added a goal in the 27th. The Tigers extended the lead early in the second half on a Fiona Jolly goal in the 50th minute. Marta Prieto scored twice, just 34 seconds apart, in the 58th and 59th minutes, and Grace Smith closed the scoring in the 83rd.
Bethel created more chances after halftime, taking six of its seven shots in the second period. Jacqueline Carbajal put both of her attempts on goal, while Briley Ross recorded three shots, including two on target. Rose Boichat also had a shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Lola Guerin made eight saves for the Lady Wildcats. Campbellsville finished with a 26-7 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.
Bethel moves to 0-6-1 overall and 0-3 in the MSC. Campbellsville improves to 7-1-2 and 2-0 in conference play.
 The Lady Wildcats travel to Texas A&M–Texarkana on Tuesday, Sept. 29.
