MARIETTA, Ga – The Bethel Lady Wildcats opened their season Thursday afternoon in Marietta, Georgia.
The No. 15 Cats faced a stern road test facing the No. 9 Runnin Eagles. In the end it was Life winning 5-0.
After a scoreless first period the Eagles exploded for five unanswered second period goals to win big.
It was the fourth meeting between the two programs with two of the three prior meetings ending in ties. The other meeting was a Life 3-2 overtime victory in 2021. The squads battled to a 1-1 deadlock in McKenzie last year.
Life had a 15-7 shots margin and 8-3 shots on goal advantage.
Behel returns to action Monday hosting Olivet Nazarene at 3 p.m. in Walter Butler Stadium.
