GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats traveled to Georgetown Friday for their conference opener against the Lady Tigers. A dominating defense and two timely second period goals were the storylines on a 2-nil win over the Tigers.
Bethel outshot GC 19-4 and had a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Audrey LaRue and Elle Carson had the goals. Johanna Veldhuizen and Vivianna Villalolos had assists.
Bethel's Alicia Perez recorded two saves.
The Cats moved to 5-1 and 1-0 while the Tigers dropped to 4-3-2 and 0-1.
Bethel returns to McKenzie Friday to face the University of the Cumberlands Patriots at 1 p.m.
