PULASKI, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcat soccer squad traveled to Pulaski Saturday to meet the No. 3 UT Southern FireHawks. The Hawks continued their domination between the two with a 6-0 victory.
Bethel dropped to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the Mid-South Conference. It was Bethel's third straight loss. UTS moved to 8-0 and 4-0. Dating back to when UTS was Martin Methodist, the series is 25-0-1 in favor of the program in Pulaski.
Three goals by UTS in the first ten minutes of the match set the early tone for the day. The FireHawks would add another goal and lead 4-0 at the break. UTS did not allow Bethel a shot or a shot on goal in the first 45 minutes.
With stifling defense by the Hawks, the Wildcats could never capture any offensive flow in the second. UTS scored two second period goals to win 6-0.
UTS has a 27-2 advantage in shots and a 16-1 margin in shots on goal.
Bethel will try to get back in the win column Thursday when they host Life University in Wildcat Stadium at 4:30 p.m.
