MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats and the Robert Morris Eagles met at noon Saturday in McKenzie with Bethel completing a three game sweep of the Eagles with an 11-4 victory.
The Lady Cats pounded out 15 hits and use a six-run second inning to beat the Eagles. Melanie Alexander continued her hot start with three hits and two RBI's. Macey Cox also had three hits and drove in three runs. Jade Brallier had a homer and drove in two runs. Alexis Wheeler, Gillian Grahn, Morgan Hunt and Mackenzie Caldwell each had an RBI. Darcie Gibson scattered 11 hits and picked up the win.
Bethel met William Woods later in the day and dropped their first game of the season falling to the Owls 6-2. Bailey Bandy's two run double in the first accounted for Bethel's only runs. The Owls scored a single run in the fourth, three runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to win. William Woods outhit the Cats 14-7 and won their fourth straight.
Bethel finished the day at 5-1.
Bethel returns to action Tuesday traveling to Williams Baptist for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
