OWENSBORO, Ky. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats concluded their weekend in Owensboro on a high note beating the Lady Scots of Alma College (NCAA III) 5-2.
Kelsie Seiber won her match by default. Samantha Jo Stone won 6-3, 6-2. Lexi Daniels had a strong effort winning 6-2, 6-2. Anabella Baralt battled to the very end before falling 7-5 in a seven point tie-breaker.
Marcela Donatoni had the match of the year winning with a 13-11 victory in a 10 point tie- breaker marathon.
Sophia Vasconcellos won her sets 6-1, 6-2.
Coach Derrick Hubble commented, "I am very pleased with our 4-1 start. This group of young ladies continues to do the little things which has paid off with our victories thus far. We are getting great senior leadership from Marcela and it had been so important for our young players. I love our passion and their desire to do what it takes to win."
