Coach Chris Nelson commented, "Today was a good day for us to be challenged. Blue Mountain plays extremely hard and really battled for the entire 40 minutes. I thought we got off to a great start and then battled some adversity with foul trouble and some poor shooting. It was great to have Ty back and especially on a day like today. She is a special player and when she plays minutes like she did today she is more than capable to produce the big numbers. It was nice to see Morgan break the three point record and it is extra special to see how she has done it over the years with longevity and hard work. She does so many other things outside of just being a typical shooting guard. She was aggressive in key parts of the game and grabbed some big rebounds for her team. We have a huge week ahead and we will be excited to be back on the court."
Bethel improved to 22-4 overall and 11-1 in the SSAC. The Toppers dropped to 7-13 and 3-9.
The Lady Cats remain on the road traveling to Tuscaloosa Thursday to battle Stillman. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m. Bethel defeated the Tigers 76-38 in Crisp Arena on January 2nd.
