MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcat soccer squad advanced to the final four of the SSAC Championships with a 3-1 win over Dalton State Friday at Wildcat Stadium. The No. 3 seeded Wildcats moved to 12-4-1 while No. 6 seeded DSU ended their season at 6-11.
A first period goal by Elvira Martin gave Bethel a 1-0 lead at the break. Two second period goals by Janine Dennis gave the Lady Cats the two goal win.
Bethel had a 16-4 advantage in shots and the Cats had an 8-3 margin in shots on goal.
With the victory, Bethel moves on to face No. 2 seeded Martin Methodist at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Emory Folmar YMCA Soccer Complex in Montgomery.
Martin Methodist beat Bethel 2-1 during the regular season in Pulaski. The Hawks are 14-3-1 on the season. The match begins at 3 p.m.
