SILOAM SPRINGS, AR – For the first time since 2005 a Bethel Lady Wildcat Soccer team appeared In the NAIA Division I Women's Soccer National Championship. The Lady Wildcats battled Eastern Oregon in the Siloam Springs Bracket in Siloam Springs, Arkansas Friday night.
The Lady Cats came up short in a defensive battle between the two, falling 1-0.
Eastern Oregon scored the lone goal in the 88th minute to break the hearts of the Cats.
Bethel put 3-of-14 shots on frame, compared to 7-of-17 for EOU.
Shanay Ricketts had six saves for Bethel, who ends the season 12-6-1. Ricketts finished the season with 62 saves.
