HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats traveled to Henderson, Tennessee Saturday to face the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions in a non-conference match. Despite playing well at times the Lady Cats fell 5-2.
Kelsie Seibers and Samantha Jo Stone won their doubles match 6-2. Stone also won in singles play winning 6-0 and 6-1. Freshmen Lexi Daniels also secured a win for the Lady Cats wining 6-3 in both sets. Anabella Baralt played well and took her third set to a tiebreaker but came up short.
Coach Derrick Hubble commented, "I am pleased with the effort of our ladies. It's exciting to see them improve and the passion they have for the game and this team is impressive. Freed brought in some tough competitors and will continue to get better as well. We will see how far we've both come April 18th when a rematch will take place in McKenzie. It should be an exciting spring for the ladies and we continue to have high expectations for them."
