MOBILE, Ala. – The Lady Wildcats snapped a two game losing streak in style with a 3-1 upset of No. 17 Mobile Saturday afternoon in Mobile. It was Bethel's first win ever in the series with the Rams. Bethel moved to 6-2-1 overall and 1-1 in the SSAC. Mobile fell to 6-4-1 and 0-2. Mobile leads the series 7-1.
Bethel had a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 9-4 margin in shots on goal.
Bethel used goals by Janine Dennis, Elvira Martin and Brittany Bray for the win. Shanay Ricketts had three saves in the game.
Coach Misty Aird expressed how proud she was of her team. "We had a plan and the ladies executed just that. This team plays with heat and determination. I am so proud of them."
The Cats return to action Tuesday hosting Georgia Gwinnett at noon.
