MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Soccer Cats closed out their regular season on Senior Day Saturday with a 5-2 win over visiting Faulkner University. Bethel upped their record to 11-7 and 4-4 in the SSAC. Faulkner dropped to 1-11-2 and 0-7-1.
Janine Dennis and Danijela Kolaric scored first period goals to give Bethel a 2-0 lead. Dennis had another goal in the second period while Brittany Bray had two huge goals to help secure the victory for the Lady Cats.
Dennis also had an assist in the contest. Marina Hamer and Elvira Martin also pitched in with an assist.
The Lady Cats move on to the SSAC Championships with action beginning next weekend. Bethel travels to Middle Georgia State. The Lady Cats lost at MGS 1-0 in September.
