BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Two teams going in different directions on the season met Wednesday night in Belleville, Illinois as the unbeaten (7-0) Bethel Lady Wildcats tangled with the Lynx (0-5) of Lindenwood University Belleville. In the end the home team prevailed as the Lynx upset the Lady Wildcats 1-0.
A first period goal by LUB's Jasmine Smith was the only score of the game. LUB outshot Bethel 10-5 and had a 6-2 shots on goal advantage.
Bethel's Danielle Krzyzaniak recorded five saves in the match.
Bethel entered the match No. 26 in the nation. The Lady Wildcats will be back in action October 5 hosting Middle Georgia State in their SSAC opener.
