Lady Wildcats Open Soccer Season with Road Win in Texas
TEXARKANA, TX – The Lady Wildcats opened their season on the road in Texas facing Texas A & M Texarkana Friday night. Bethel came away with a 2-1 victory.
Jodi Butler (FR/Gadsden, TN) scored a first period goal to give Bethel a 1-0 lead at the break.
After A & M tied the match in the second period it was Bethel's Cara Cook (FR/Hannibal, MO) with the game winner later in the period giving the Lady Cats the win.
Bethel was outshot in the match 9-4 but Bethel goalkeeper Danielle Krzyzaniak (SR/Bolton, Ontario, Canada) saved the night with seven saves.
