MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats dropped both games of their home doubleheader Friday to No. 7 William Carey losing 8-0 and 6-1 at Wildcat Field.
Rachel Hickman fired a five –inning no-hitter in game one retiring all 15 Bethel hitters. While she was dominating the Bethel hitters her teammates supplied the offense scoring two runs in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings.
Bethel committed three errors in the SSAC game. Casey Wade suffered the Wildcat loss.
Game two saw the Crusaders rap out nine hits in the five run victory. Hannah Moak limited Bethel to just two hits in the nightcap. Bailey Moore was charged with the Bethel loss.
Bethel dropped to 20-20 overall and 5-15 in the league. The Crusaders moved to 37-6 and 17-3 on the season.
Bethel plays host to No. 23 Mobile Saturday in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
