MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats played the first of twelve straight road games Friday afternoon traveling to Faulkner University for a SSAC doubleheader against the Eagles. Faulkner took both games winning 11-0 and 7-4.
A six run first and a four run second was too much for the Lady Wildcats to overcome in game one. Caitlin Perry held Bethel to only three hits in the 11-0 Bethel loss. Casey Wade was the losing pitcher while Faulkner's Perry picked up the victory.
In game two Bethel led 3-0 but the Lady Eagles charged back behind a four run fifth and won 7-4. Alex Turner, Caylee Crews and Iesha Kizer each drove in a run for the Lady Cats. Brooke Baucum was charged with the loss while Tori Davis picked up the Eagle win.
Bethel dropped to 16-14 and 2-10 in the SSAC. Faulkner moved to 14-19 and 5-7.
The Lady Wildcats continue their road journey Monday playing a doubleheader at Freed-Hardeman with action beginning at 2 p.m.
