COCHRAN, GA– The No. 21 Bethel Lady Wildcats won the first of a two-game conference road trip with a 55-37 win at Middle Georgia State Thursday night. Bethel moved to 9-6 overall and 5-0 in the SSAC. MGS dropped to 3-6 and 1-3. It was the third win in a row for the Lady Wildcats while the Lady Knights lost their third straight game and fifth of their last six. It was the 39th win in their last 41 regular season conference games for the Lady Cats. Bethel is 3- 0 all-time against MGS with all three victories coming in Cochran.
The Lady Wildcats used balanced scoring to win. Jasmine Whittemore and Morgan Martin led the offense with 11 points each. Brandi Goodman followed with 10 points while Shamon Pearson and Alexis Hardaway both finished with nine points. The Lady Wildcats knocked down eight three-pointers in the game.

Coach Chris Nelson said, "This was a solid conference road win tonight on the road for our ladies. It was ugly at times but I thought our team adapted to the style of the game and that allowed us to be able to start the road trip off right. We shared the basketball extremely well and I felt like we guarded for the majority of the game. Jas (Jasmine Whittemore) got hot to end the first half and that allowed us to have a little separation right before half. Everyone contributed to this total team effort tonight."
