Volley Cats Fall to Campbellsville
MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Lady Wildcats saw their three-game winning streak snapped Thursday night, falling at home to the Campbellsville Lady Tigers 3-1. Bethel had been undefeated at home on the year but fell to 4-1 in Crisp Arena on the season.
The Tigers won the first set 25-18. The second set was a thrilling marathon with the Cats winning 31-29. The Tigers clawed back to win the third set 25-12. Campbellsville secured the victory with a 25-17 fourth set.
Clara Sestini led Bethel with 22 digs. Katie Pennington had 13 kills while Mackenzie had 19 assists and 16 digs. Camila Sandoval had 19 assists.
The match marked the 15th time the two programs have faced off. Campbellsville leads the series 14-1. The Tigers have won 14 in a row in the series.
The Cats dropped to 6-7 overall and 1-2 in the MSC.
The Tigers improved to 12-10 and 2-1.
The Cats remain at home meeting No. 25 Lindsey Wilson at 6 p.m. Friday night in Crisp.
