Volley Cats Win Fourth in a Row

OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Bethel Volley Cats resumed play Saturday after winning their first two games on the first day of the Brescia Classic in Owensboro Friday. Bethel swept Oakland City and UHSP, winning all six sets in the matches.

The Lady Wildcats made it nine sets in a row beating Wilberforce 3-0 in game one on Saturday. Bethel won 25-11, 25-11 and 25-20.

Highlighting the win for the Lady Wildcats was Mackenzie McCammon who had 19 assists. Setareh Valibeygi had 16 assists while Sami Parker finished with 10 digs. 

The Lady Cats won their fourth straight in the event with a 3-1 win over Brescia. The Wildcats won 28-26, 20-25, 25-20 and 25-21.

Dominika Skoneczna had an outstanding performance with 17 kills and 16 digs.  Parker had 19 digs.

Mckenzie MacCammon followed with 19 assists. Valibeygi had a team high 23 assists. 

The Lady Cats travel to Batesville, Arkansas Friday and Saturday to compete in the Lyon Classic. The Cats face Williams Baptist Friday at 4 p.m. and then face Mission Saturday at 10 a.m. Bethel wraps up play in the event at noon against host school Lyon at noon.
