Cats Win Two in Brescia Classic

OWENSBORO, Ky.  - The Bethel Volley Cats resumed play Friday playing two games in the Brescia Classic in Owensboro.

Bethel entered the weekend 1-1.

The Lady Wildcats beat Oakland City 25-16, 25-22 and 26-24.

Dominika Skoneczna had 15 digs in the victory. Gabriela Dominguez had a big day with 10 kills and 12 digs. Sami Parker had 14 digs while Alexa McLaren finished with eight kills. Setareh Valibeygi had 21 assists.

In the night session, the Wildcats made it a perfect first day with a 3-0 sweep of UHSP. Bethel won 25-18, 25-17 and 25-22.

Skoneczna had another solid match with 12 kills and 19 digs. Valibeygi contributed with 24 assists. Parker had 15 digs. Mackenzie McCammon finished with 12 assists.

The Lady Cats moved to 3-1 on the year.

Bethel wraps up weekend playing meeting Wilberforce Saturday at 1 p.m. and Brescia at 5 p.m.
