Mid-South Conference Women’s Volleyball Season Awards Announced
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference announced its 2022 volleyball All-MSC teams and honors on Wednesday.
Campbellsville's (Ky.) Molly Shannon was named the MSC Women's Volleyball Player of the Year by the conference coaches while teammate Paige Merrick earned Setter of the Year honors. Cumberlands' (Ky.) Juliet Banks was selected as the Defender of the Year. Cumberland's Hazel Konkel was named the MSC Freshman of the Year. Campbellsville's Peyton Johnston was named the Coach of the Year while Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Amanda Cunningham was the Assistant Coach of the Year.
Bethel's Hannah McGowan and Nayeli Vilchez were named to the 1st team. Kameshia Moxley was named to the Honorable Mention squad.
The conference coaches voted on the yearly awards along with the all-conference teams. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Fourteen players were selected to both the first and second all-conference teams with seven earning honorable mention.
