Mid-South Conference Announces Volleyball Players of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Bethel's (Tenn.) Hannah McGowan and Nayeli Vilchez and Cumberland's (Tenn.) Shea Moore are the Mid-South Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week

Hannah McGowan – Bethel (Tenn.) – Sr. - Outside Hitter – New Orleans, La.

McGowan tallied 62 kills in four Bethel victories at the Vette City Classic.
She had nine kills in the Wildcats' sweep of Reinhardt (Ga.).
McGowan recorded 10 kills in Bethel's sweep of Truett McConnell (Ga.).
She totaled 30 kills in a five-set victory over Union (Ky.).
McGowan recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs in a 3-1 victory over Indiana Southeast.
She earns weekly honors for the first time this season and second in her career,

MSC Volleyball Defender of the Week

Shea Moore - Cumberland (Tenn.) – Sr. – Defensive Specialist – Bowling Green, Ky.

Moore recorded 57 digs in four Cumberland matches at the Chick-Fil-A Classic.
She had 10 digs in a sweep over Morningside (Iowa).
Moore then tallied 12 digs in the Phoenix's sweep of Southeastern (Fla.)
She recorded 22 digs in a four-set loss to Hastings (Neb.).
Moore posted 13 digs in a sweep over Doane (Neb.).
She earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in her career.

MSC Volleyball Setter of the Week

Nayeli Vilchez – Bethel (Tenn.) – Sr. – Setter - Lima, Peru

Vilchez totaled 157 assists in four Bethel victories at the Vette City Classic.
She averaged 10.5 assists per set in the matches.
Vilchez tallied 29 assists in a sweep over Reinhardt.
She then recorded 37 assists in the Bethel's sweep of Truett McConnell.
Vilchez recorded a double-double with 52 assists and 11 digs in the Wildcats' five-set victory over Union.
She posted her second double-double of the weekend with 39 assists and 10 digs in a 3-1 victory over Indiana Southeast.
She earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in her career.
