Volley Cats Fall at Cumberland University

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats traveled to Lebanon Wednesday to face the Cumberland University Phoenix. The Wildcats looked to bounce back after a Sunday afternoon home loss to the University of the Cumberlands.

It was not a good night for the Lady Cats however as they fell to Cumberland 3-1.

The Phoenix won, 25-12, 25-9, 23-25 and 25-17.

Hannah McGowan led the Cats with 17 kills and 15 digs. Kamesha Moxley followed with 10 kills.   Sami Parker had 15 digs. Brookelyn Davis was solid with 18 assists. Nayeli Vilchez contributed with 16 assists.

Bethel dropped to 7-5 and 1-4 in the MSC. Cumberland improved to 15-5 and 4-3. 

Bethel returns home Saturday to host UPIKE in MSC play. Action begins at 1 p.m. in Crisp Arena.
