Volley Cats Take Down FHU

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats returned home to the friendly confines of Crisp Arena Friday night to meet an old rival in Freed-Hardeman. Although each set was a close and intense affair, the Lady Cats swept the Lions, 25-21, 25-23, and 25-23.

Bethel moved to 7-3 and 1-2 in the MSC. FHU fell to 5-8 and 1-5.

Coach Starla Cupples said, "This was a hard-fought win tonight. I'm proud of how our young ladies battled on each point.  It is a good win with it being our first conference victory and we hope to build on it as we host a good team Sunday afternoon."

The Cats host Cumberlands (KY) Sunday at 1 p.m.
