Lady Cats Sweep Lyon in Batesville

BATESVILLE, Ark. – Two teams off to good starts clashed in a volleyball showdown Tuesday night in Batesville. The visiting Bethel Lady Wildcats ruined the home opener  for the Lyon Scots winning 3-0. Bethel won 25-18, 25-21 and 25-18.

Nayeli Vilchez led the Cats with 19 assists and 10 digs. Brookelyn Davis followed with 14 assists. Sami Parker had 11 digs while Hannah McGowan led the Cats in kills with 15. 

Bethel moved to 4-1 while Lyon fell to 4-1. Bethel is 5-0 all-time versus Lyon and 3-0 in matches played in Batesville.  

Bethel plays host to Mississippi College for Women Tuesday night in Crisp Arena. Action for the home opener begins at 6 p.m.
