Women’s Tennis Drops Exhibition in Troy

TROY, Ala. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats opened their season in exhibitiom Friday in Troy, Alabama against the Troy University Lady Trojans.

The Trojans completed a 7-0 sweep on the day and moved to 2-1 on the early season.

Action began with the Trojans securing the doubles point. The first victory of the day came as Leena Metwally and Alexia Zarate topped the Bethel duo of Manuela Geraissati and Giada Meneguzzo, 6-0. To officially secure the point the duo of Hiba Heni and Emilia Namyslo defeated Cami Barragan Canas and Claudia Gonzalez Pastrana, 6-1.

The momentum over carried over into singles play as  Troy was victorious in every match via straight sets. 

Bethel's Sofia Canto battled in her singles match before falling 7-5 and 6-4.
