Women’s Soccer Beats Williams Baptist

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcats ran their record to 5-2-0 with a 5-0 win over visiting Williams Baptist Friday night. Bethel is 3-0 in Walter Butler Stadium this season. The Lady Cats have won four in a row.

WBU fell to 2-6-0 overall and 0-4 in road action on the year.

Bethel had a 1-nil   lead at the break. Briley Ross had the goal on an assist by Elle Carson.

The Cats dominated the second period. Audrey LaRue made it 2-nil after an assist from Ainhoa Chirivella. The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead after a score by Kalina Stanisic. Anahi Tagle was credited with the assist. Johanna Veldhuizen continued the scoring barrage with a goal that gave the Cats a 4-nil margin. Leni Volker scored Bethel's last goal with an assist from Viviana Villalobos.

Bethel had a 17-2 advantage in shots on goal. Alicia Perez had two saves.

 The Lady Cats return to action Wednesday hosting conference foe Lindsey Wilson at 5:30 p.m. It will be the 14th meeting between the two programs with the Blue Raiders holding a 12-1 advantage in the series. The lone Bethel win was last year when the Cats claimed a 2-1 victory in Columbia.
