Women’s Soccer Wins Fourth in a Row with Upset of No. 24 Campbellsville on Senior Night

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel Lady Wildcats won for the fifth time in their last six outings with a 2-nil   win over No. 24 Campbellsville Friday night in McKenzie. It was the fourth straight for the Cats who moved to 9-2 overall and 4-1 in the MSC. It was the eighth meeting between the two programs with the series now tied at 4-4.

Campbellsville dropped to 4-6-3 and 1-2-1.

It was Senior Night for the Wildcats. Elizabeth Kriebel, Natasha Dudley, Nathalie Rojas and manager Shelby Powers were honored in pre-game ceremonies.

A first period goal by Audrey LaRue gave Bethel a 1-nil lead at the break. Kalina Stanisic had the assist.

Elle Carson put icing on the cake with a goal in the second period. Stanisic again had an assist.

Both teams finished with 15 shots each. Bethel had a 7-3 margin in shots on goal. Alicia Perez was credited with three saves for the  Wildcats.

Bethel remains at home, hosting Life University Tuesday at 2 p.m.
