Mid-South Conference Announces 2022 Women’s Soccer Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The 2022 Mid-South Conference Women's Soccer season awards have been released, conference officials announced on Tuesday.

Tennessee Southern's Estelle Badoedana Ekada was named the MSC Player of the Year while Cumberland's Grace Morris earned MSC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Cumberlands' Carola Fontan was voted the MSC Freshman of the Year. Cumberlands' Steve Hamilton was voted the MSC Coach of the Year. Lindsey Wilson's Elisha Fry was voted the MSC Assistant Coach of the Year.

Bethel's Alicia Perez and Paula Pinilla were named to the Honorable Mention team.

Conference coaches vote on the seasonal awards along with the all-conference teams. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players.

18 players earned first team honors with 13 student-athletes earning a spot on to the second team. Eight student-athletes earned Honorable Mention status in addition to the first and second team honorees.
