Lady Wildcats Drop Soccer Exhibition at APSU

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats kicked off their 2021 season unofficially with an exhibition at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville Thursday.
The Governors scored in the first five minutes of the match and went on to add two more goals to lead 3-0. Bethel senior Elvira Martin scored on a penalty kick late in the first period to make it 3-1 at the break.
The Governors would add a second period goal to win 4-1.
APSU had a 13-3 advantage in shots and had a 7-1 mark in shots on goal.
Bethel opens their regular season September 4 in Cochran, Georgia against Middle Georgia State. The Lady Wildcats play host to Texas A & M Texarkana on September 11. It will be the first of three straight home matches at Wildcat Stadium.
