Bethel’s Shelsea Vera Wins TWU Invitational

VONORE, Tenn. – Bethel's Shelsea Vera shot a two over par 74 Saturday in the first round of the Tennessee Wesleyan Invitational being played at The Links @ Kahite in Vonore, Tennessee. With that effort, Vera had a two-shot lead entering the final round Sunday.

Vera took care of business and captured medalist honors with an even par 72 Sunday. She won the event at two over 146.

Nine teams and 59 golfers participated in the two-day tournament.

Bethel finished third in the team standings. Milligan won the event.

Albane Le Helloco tied for 13^th with rounds of 81 and 82.

Bethel's Tessa Myers tied for 17^th with efforts of 81 and 84.
