Lady Cats Stay Perfect with Dominant Second Half at Faulkner

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -The Bethel Lady Wildcats continued their perfect start to the season with an impressive 73–56 road win over Faulkner on Tuesday afternoon at Tine Davis Gymnasium, improving to a Bakers Dozen 13–0 with a complete performance on both ends of the floor.

Bethel set the tone early, edging out to an 18–16 first-quarter lead before weathering a brief Faulkner push in the second. After going into halftime with a slim advantage, the Lady Cats flipped the switch coming out of the break. A dominant 24–12 third quarter proved to be the turning point, as Bethel shot efficiently, shared the ball, and locked down defensively to create separation.

Adalyn Koelling led all scorers with a flawless shooting day, pouring in 24 points on 7-of-7 from the field, 3-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 7-of-7 at the free-throw line in just 18 minutes. Micah Hart added a strong all-around effort with 15 points and eight rebounds, while Hallie Turner chipped in 10 points to give Bethel three players in double figures.

Bethel's depth made the difference, as the Lady Cats outscored Faulkner 35–16 in bench points. The visitors also finished with a decisive edge in efficiency, shooting 55.1 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three-point range, compared to Faulkner's 40 percent overall shooting.

Defensively, Bethel forced 18 turnovers and held Faulkner to just 23 points combined in the second half, closing the game with a steady fourth quarter to secure the road victory.

With balanced scoring, defensive intensity, and composure away from home, the Lady Cats once again showed why they remain unbeaten as they head forward in the season.

Coach Chris Nelson:
"I'm really proud of how our team handled a tough road environment today. We were patient early, then came out in the second half with great energy and focus. Our bench gave us a huge lift, we defended at a high level, and we shared the basketball the way we're capable of. Wins like this show the growth and maturity of this group."

The Lady Cats will return home to Crisp Arena for a 1 p.m. tip-off against Grand View, looking to keep their unbeaten streak alive, before Christmas break.
