Lady Cats Stay Unbeaten with Commanding Home Victory
MCKENZIE, Tenn. — The Bethel Lady Wildcats continued their impressive start to the 2025–26 campaign Friday evening, rolling past Haskell 92–67 inside Crisp Arena to improve to 9–0. The game was the first of two games for Bethel in the Lady Wildcat Invitational.
A dominant opening frame allowed Bethel to seize control early, outscoring the visitors 29–10 and establishing a rhythm they maintained the rest of the night.
Sophomore guard Micah Hart led the charge with a game-high 24 points, knocking down four three-pointers while adding six rebounds and three steals in just 22 minutes. Fellow starter Mikee Buchanan matched the energy with 16 points and six boards, and Adalyn Koelling provided a strong interior presence, contributing 13 points and a team-best eight rebounds. MJ Simmons rounded out the balanced attack with 10 points and four assists.
Bethel's depth proved just as impactful, as the bench accounted for 39 points. Laura Nichols delivered nine points in efficient minutes, while Lauren Bryant added eight and five rebounds to help maintain Bethel's double-digit advantage throughout.
As a team, the Lady Cats shot 46.6% from the field and 38.2% from long range, showcasing both efficiency and confidence offensively.
Defensively, Bethel held Haskell to 39.7% shooting and limited second-chance opportunities behind a 42–28 rebounding advantage. Haskell was led by Ona Dauphinais' 16 points and Allie Greene's 17 off the bench, but the early deficit proved too difficult to overcome.
With another convincing performance and their unbeaten record preserved, the Lady Cats continue building momentum as non-conference play progresses. Bethel's blend of depth, perimeter shooting, and defensive discipline has positioned the team as a rising force early in the season—and Friday's win only strengthened that trajectory.
