Women’s Basketball will Host Georgetown Thursday in Crisp Arena
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats will host the Georgetown Lady Tigers Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. in Crisp Arena. It will be the second meeting between the two squads this season.
Despite a strong individual effort from Micah Hart, who posted a game-high and career high 37 points, the Lady Cats couldn't overcome Georgetown's efficient shooting and strong team play falling 97-78 to the Lady Tigers back in mid-January in Georgetown.
The No. 14 Lady Cats are 19-6 overall and 4-6 in the Mid-South Conference. Bethel has lost two straight but hopes being back home will be an advantage as they are 170-40 all-time in the arena which opened in 2012. The Cats are 7-2 at home this year.
No, 11 Georgetown is 19-6 and 5-5. The Tigers are 5-2 in road games this year. Since their win over Bethel, GC is 4-4. Bethel is 3-4 since their loss to the Tigers.
It will be the 11th meeting between the two programs with Georgetown leading the series 7-3.
Hart leads Bethel averaging 17.4 per game. Madison Hart averages 15.7 while Mikee Buchanan is at an 11.5 clip per outing.
The Cats average 77.4 points per game and yield 62.7 points per game. Bethel is 14-3 when they score 70 points or more in a game.
Georgetown is led in scoring by Teionni McDaniel who averages 17.0 points per game. Three other Tigers average double digits per contest.
The Tigers average 82.0 points per game and yield 63.2 per contest.
