Lady Cats Win Again
MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The No. 16 Bethel Lady Wildcats, off to the best start in program history, made it a Baker's Dozen with another victory Monday in Knoxville.
The Cats moved to 13-0 with a 96-63 win over Bryan College in the Johnson College Lady Royals Classic.
Bryan dropped to 4-8 on the season. Bryan has dropped five of their last six outings.
The 96 points are the third most scored in a game for Bethel on the season.
Bethel led 49-32 at the half. Outscoring Bryan 31-16 left no doubt as The Cats cruised to the 33-point victory.
Five Lady Wildcats finished in double figures. Mikee Buchanan led Bethel with 19 points. Kylie Reynolds and Micah Hart had 18 points each. Reynolds knocked down six of Bethel's 17 three-pointers. Madison Hart and Kalynn Howard had 10 tallies each.
The Cats had a 40-30 margin in rebounds. Micah Hart had a team high six boards.
Bethel had 21 assists with Hallie Turner leading the Lady Cats with eight.
The Cats shot 50 percent from the floor and held Bryan to just 35 percent from the field.
Bethel meets Johnson College on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
