Lady Wildcats in Action this Weekend in Michigan Classic
Adrian, Mich. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats are in action Saturday and Sunday playing two games in the Siena Heights Thanksgiving Classic in Adrian, Michigan.
The No. 15 Lady Cats meet Lawrence Tech Saturday at 1 p.m. They take on Siena Heights on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Bethel is 7-0 on the season. Lawrence Tech is 1-7 and has lost five straight games. Siena Heights has won two straight and is 4-4.
Bethel is one of four Mid-South Conference teams ranked in the Top 25.
The 7-0 start is the best during the tenure of Coach Chris Nelson as head coach of the Wildcats.
The Cats average 82.1 and yield just 52.6 points per game. Bethel averages 11.6 made three-pointers per outing. The Lady Wildcats shoot 45 percent from the floor, 39 percent behind the arc and 71 percent from the free throw line.
Micah Hart leads the squad averaging 16.1 points per game. The freshman also leads the team in steals with 12. Fellow freshman Mikee Buchanan averages 13.9 points and seven rebounds per game. Madison Hart pops in 12.3 points per outing. Freshman Hallie Turner lead the Lady Cats dishing out five assists per game.
