Mid-South Conference Announces 2022-23 Women’s Basketball Awards
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference 2022-23 Women's Basketball Awards were announced on Thursday.
Bethel's Madison Hart was named to the second team. Bethel's Keely Morrow was named to the honorable mention squad. Hart led the team in scoring averaging 15.1 points per game. She was second in rebounding at 6.6 boards per outing. Hart was named MSC Player of the Week twice during the year. Morrow was second in scoring at 13.9 points per game.
Campbellsville's (Ky.) Kaitlynn Wilks was named the MSC Player of the Year while Cumberland's (Tenn.) Keara Sexton is the Randy Vernon Defensive Player of the Year. Pikeville's Allie Stone earned MSC Freshman of the Year honors.
Campbellsville's Ginger High Colvin was voted the MSC Coach of the Year by her peers while Pikeville's (Ky.) Shelby Wheeler was named the MSC Assistant Coach of the Year.
Twelve players were named to first and second teams with an additional six players earning honorable mention honors.
