Lady Wildcats Fall to No. 1 Thomas More
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats saw their two game winning streak snapped with a 88-61 loss at No. 1 Thomas More Thursday night in Crestview Hills.
Midway of the first quarter the teams were tied at six. TMU outscored Bethel 19-6 to close out the quarter and lead 25-12 after the first ten minutes. A 25-17 advantage in the second stanza allowed the Saints to lead 50-29 at the half. Bethel could never close the gap in the second half.
Bethel shot 39 percent from the floor while the Saints shot 48 percent. Thomas More hit 15 three-pointers in the game. TMU hit 34 treys in the two games versus Bethel this year.
The Saints had a 40-20 margin in bench points and outrebounded Bethel 35-29.
Madison Hart led Bethel in scoring with 15 points. Keely Morrow followed with 11 tallies. TMU had five players finish in double figures with Emily Simon leading the Saints with 15 points.
Bethel dropped to 10-15 and 6-13 in the MSC. The Saints moved to 24-1 and 18-1.
Thomas More is now 12-0 in the Connor Convocation Center on the year. Bethel is 1-10 on the road this season.
The Lady Cats remain on the road traveling to Wilberforce Saturday for a 12 p.m. tip-off.
