Lady Cats Back Home for First Time in Three Weeks
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Thursday night when the Bethel Lady Wildcats play host to UT Southern, it will be the first time in three weeks the Lady Wildcats will be home in the friendly confines of Crisp Arena. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. The Wildcats are 149-26 all-time in Crisp. Four of the 26 losses are to UT Southern/Martin Methodist.

Dating back to when UTS was Martin Methodist it marks the 37th meeting between the two programs. Bethel leads the series 25-11. Bethel has a 14-4 advantage in McKenzie, a 9-6 margin in Pulaski and a 2-1 result in Montgomery in the SSAC tournament.
The Cats have lost six straight games and enter the fray with a 5-6 mark. Bethel is 1-4 in the Mid-South Conference.
Bethel is averaging 66.6 points and yielding 67.5 points per game. During the current losing streak the Lady Cats are averaging 57.0 points per outing.
Freshman Madison Hart continues to lead Bethel in scoring at a 16.6 clip. Hart pulls down seven rebounds per contest and has been named the MSC Player of the Week twice on the season. Keely Morrow is second in scoring at 13.5 points per game. Alyia Lee leads the squad in rebounding at eight boards per game. Kalynn Howard leads the team in assists with Hart second in that category.
Bethel is averaging 17 assists and 13 turnovers per game. The Cats are outrebounding their opponents 34-32 per outing.
The Cats are shooting 27 percent in three-point attempts on the year. The Wildcats have hit at least one three-pointer in every game (525) Coach Chris Nelson has coached at the school. He is 355-170.
Tennessee Southern is 4-4 and 2-3 on the season.
