Lady Wildcats & Shawnee State Tip-off at Noon Saturday

MCKENZIE, Tenn. –After taking No. 1 Thomas More to the wire Thursday night before dropping a 55-53 decision to the Saints, the Bethel Lady Wildcats look to snap a four-game losing streak hosting MSC foe Shawnee State Saturday at noon in Crisp Arena. The game was originally scheduled for 2 p.m. but due to the weather forecast of wintry weather, officials from both schools decided to move the game to noon CST. The men's game will follow at 2 p.m.

 The game is the second of four straight home games for the Lady Cats.

Bethel enters the match-up with an 8-8 mark. The Lady Cats are 2-6 in league action. After their Thursday night loss at Freed-Hardeman, SSU is 3-8 and 2-5.

The Bears are 2-4 in road action while Bethel is 7-3 at home on the year. The Lady Cats are 135-23 all-time in Crisp Arena.

The Wildcats are averaging 66.4 points and yielding 60.3 points per outing.

Millie Bryant leads Bethel in scoring at 14.6 points per game. Bryant enters the game with 1,203 career points and 557 career rebounds. She is 12th in program history in both categories.   Earlier this season she became just the 10th Lady Cat to score 1,000 points or more and collect 500 rebounds or more. 

Ryann Roberts averages 13.5 points per outing while Keely Morrow is good for 12.2 points per game. 

Combining her play at Martin Methodist and Bethel, senior Mickey Head enters the game with 798 career rebounds and 241 career blocks. She has 1, 159 career points with 677 of those as a Lady Wildcat. Head's seven blocks versus Thomas More Thursday tied the single game record for most blocks in a game. Head tied Laurhen Pickett who had held the record.

Bethel shoots 39 percent from the field while their opponents are at 37 percent from the floor. Bethel hits 32 percent of their three-point attempts. The opponents are at 32 percent. Bethel shoots 70 percent from the foul line while opponents shoot 66 percent.

Bethel has a 33-31 advantage in outrebounding their opponents per outing.
