Lady Wildcats Fall to Tennessee Tech in Exhibition Play
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcat basketball squad played their lone exhibition game of the season when they traveled to Cookeville to meet Tennessee Tech Tuesday.
Tech led 23-25 after the first period. Ryann Roberts hit two three-pointers and led the Cats with five points in the quarter.
The Golden Eagles scored the first seven points of the second quarter to take a 30-15 margin. They went on to lead 45-27 at the half. Roberts had seven points at the break. Keely Morrow and Kalynn Howard had five each.
Tennessee Tech pulled away after outscoring Bethel 25-12 in the third to lead 70-49 entering the final quarter. TTU would go on to an 85-46 victory.
The Golden Eagles had 50-26 advantage in rebounds. Bethel committed 16 turnovers which led to a 21-3 advantage in points off turnover for TTU.
Mickey Head led Bethel with 10 points. Roberts finished with nine. Millie Bryant and Morrow had eight points each.
Tech's Anna Walker led all scorers with 22 points.
Bethel returns home November 15 to host Arkansas Baptist at 6 p.m.
